There is a bear out there and we want to find him!
We sail over to Kinak Bay which is on the mainland next to Kodiak Island.
As you see it is also part of a very large National Park.
Zodiacs out and we are off.
There is little food around for the Bears just now, Salmon are yet to run and berries are not yet fruiting. That leaves clams, but it is still high tide.
You can see the bear trails down the mountain in the next photo. Still the scenery is spectacular.
Back to the ship and onto Geographic Harbour, the tide should be out by then.
On the Zodiac for a second time today and the tide is indeed out.
We lay back and think what a great day it has been.
